Getting "bugggy" at the Ambassador
by msteachkids, Viet Nam - Jan 26, 2012

The only positive about this hotel is the location, which is close to the Nana sky train station. CONS: They misrepresent the internet services on their website. They say you will either have wifi or a LAN. What they don't say is wifi is FREE, but LAN is 399 baht a day and it all depends what room you stay in. We had a major bug issue. I killed at least 2 cockroaches a day but there 2 other kinds of bugs in our room. When the phone rang I picked it up and 3 bugs came running out of it!!! The hair dryer has only a "cool" setting and would not dry my hair. I called housekeeping and asked for another but they said none of their hair dryers had hot/warm air. WHAT?!?! Furniture is extremely old and flimsy. The decor was seriously missing. On our last day in Bangkok was decided we'd rather sit at the airport for 7 hours than spend another minute in that hotel. YUCK! Also noticed in the elevator that the "service contract" expired in 2010.
