disappointing stay in bangkok

The cleanliness of the whole hotel leaves much to be desired : the windows screens in the rooms as well as in the main restaurant were disgusting, the carpets and the paperwall were run-down and outdates. the service was non-existing (you had to go on your own to fetch a cup of tea at the desk while four people at leat were discussing without taking care of the customers The pool is not bad but is shared with a whole tower of condominiums and invaded with shouting children and their nannies, the pool furniture was frankly run-down The internet connexion was not free which is non comprehensible in view of the so-called 4 stars of the Grand Diamond and worse it was really expensive taking into account the rate of change in Thailand (1000 baths for 72 hours). And more, no-one in the hotel told us it was impossible to sleep because of the protesters and that the nearest metro station was inaccessible. Heavy disappointment !!!
