worst, smelly, in the middle of no where hotel!!!!!

after a long flight from London, all my partner and i wanted to do was have a shower, we took a cab to siam square, as it was meant to be close....however nearly an hours walk with cases was horrendous....then on arrival we found the hotel was situated next to an open sewer....which made it stink. There was absolutly no one at the hotel, it seemed dead...and now i understand why. some random man who didnt even seem to work there took us up to our room....i requested a high floor and we got the 2nd!!!! when walking in the room the stench of the sewer was even worse...the sheets were dirty and then the tv didnt work as well as the air conditioning. the bathroom was horrendous.....we were in the room 5 minutes....we booked for 2 nights, and left immediatly, then when telling the one man on reception the issues....he said i still had to pay, i asked if he would call hotel thailand for me, and he said that would cost a lot of money on his landline and that i should call myself....so i did, and explained the issues....hotel thailand said i still needed to pay for one night....which was disgraceful, and i was terribly offended. After all i have booked around 30 hotel on hotel thailand, with their write ups being on the ball. Unfortunalty that will be the last time i book with hotelthailand. Their staff on the telephone was very abrupt and i neither got an apology from the hotel or hotel thailand.
