Good introduction to Bangkok

Overall a good start to our stay in Thailand. The loby is beautiful, and the restaurant is very charming. The service was very attentive...almost too much so at times, they tend to bombard you with information and a free taxi voucher when I just wanted to go to bed after a long flight. The free taxi ride is to a TAT (Thailand authority of tourism). I found TAT's in general to be very helpful, but this one wanted to plan our whole trip right down to our accomodation and travel arrangements. We did book a few days of our trip with them, but with unsatisfactory results! The rooms they book you are dirty and way overpriced. Definantly look around before booking anything, no matter how pushy they are! Make sure YOU know what you are getting!! The complimentary tour was also a great value!!
