I first stayed at the Narai way back in 1984 and have stayed there many times since.
They have renovated and now the 'renovated'rooms have one side of the window draped with 'let through all the light' net curtain. Fine if you like to rise with the chickens. They have renovated the dining area too....
The hotel very welcoming and we took a private trip organised via the hotel and is was worth to the Elephant Conservation Park.
Would recommennd to anyone travelling to Bangkok.
We stayed in Narai hotel for 4 nights in January,2009. We booked the hotel on recommendation of our relatives who stayed there before. The hotel has a convenient location, only 10 minutes walk to the sky train and the Patpong night market. 15 minutes walk to the river. Fruit market was 1 block away....
the exec suit was not the promised 60Sqm but it was ok. A little dark but did the trick. Nothing exclusive about it, so pick this place for thje loaction, nothing else.
Their driver service was really good.
