The twentieth something stay at the Narai

I first stayed at the Narai way back in 1984 and have stayed there many times since. They have renovated and now the 'renovated'rooms have one side of the window draped with 'let through all the light' net curtain. Fine if you like to rise with the chickens. They have renovated the dining area too. Again, like the rooms they should have just spruced up and left it the way it was. No more fresh coffee: now a press button machine that dribbles out 'plastic' coffee. Cold food...fried eggs, bacon, noodles and so on as the food is not kept warm. Okay you get what you pay for. I ain't complaining but would like to turn the clock back a bit on the Narai because it used to be so much more homely and just plain nice.
