This hotel was awful and not suitable for children due to the night life and local clientle. The rooms smelled of 30 years of smoke, along with furnishing that smelled of smoke too. The staff was not helpful,often rude and wouldnt call a metered cab, the hotel provides private cabs at 6X the rate. a....

convenient and safe location- skytrain less than 3min walking distance. 24 hr coffee house serves good food at reasonable prices. old hotel but clean rooms - no issue shall stay again

general ihave no complaint i receive what i pay for but ther is a few thing to improve in the room ther is no kettle , the elevator was so old thet once i stuck in ,and its take to much time to release me, its time to reconditioning the hotel in and outsaid

I have stayed in the Rex Hotel on many occasions and will be booking in there again this October.I find the staff very helpful, and remember you from one trip to another. Front desk should be change...they were still using the old system for all documents. Service front desk is not so polite. The shower in the bathroom should be changed. The room is great for the price and clean.

i have stayed at the rex on three occasions. it is a nice hotel with reasonably friendly staff, however, the people behind the reception desk could be a little more friendlier. rooms are fairly basic but the food is very good.
