Considering promotional price for the hotel (1000 Baht a night) one can say that hotel is ok. Quite old but kept clean. Friendly and competent staff. Despite request was given room on noisy side (there is a BIG difference if you are on the gate side or the other side). Bathroom and room NOT improved in the 20 years I have used this hotel. I continue to use it because it has the best location in town.

Have stay at the Montri several times and have always enjoyed my time there. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and the location is convenient. My only complaint is that the bathrooms need updating and better lighting.

Apart from the friendly staff its great location and excellent price the Montri is attractive because all the rooms are service by free WIFI Internet. They also provide pick up and delivery to the airport. I do however find the single bed mattreses a little strange. Almost trampoline like!

The location of Montri Hotel is pretty hard to beat - handy to alomost everything. The downstairs resturant has a good range of food and is great value for money. The room we stayed in was a little "tired" and could do with renovating. (I understand that this has already happened in some rooms) G....

The hotel has very friendly staff, a very cool restaurant and reasonable clean rooms. The beds were a bit too soft for our taste though. The location is great, directly at the sunday walking street market at the Thapae gate and 15 minutes to the airport.
