What a let down in Chiang Mai

We booked this hotel as it promised 5 star accommodation. We were greeted by a dingy room covered in mold and stinking of sweat and cigarettes! We were supposed to be styaing 3 nights and begrudgingly only managed one, it was awful. Chiang Mai is such a lovely city, for the same price we moved down the road to the Amari Hotel. What a wonderful difference, if you want a central location I would recommend it.
