Try to avoid by J.D., United Kingdom - Oct 13, 2008
The Hotel Website seemed attractive and unfortunately I was attracted by the illustrious name and “Mandrain” made famous by the Word Class “Mandarin Hotel Chain” with which sadly to say this hotel has nothing in common.
I arrived at the hotel and was greeted by a large array or immediate and adjacent construction. Initially I was put in a room from with a balcony view of an adjacent roof. A request for a change of room was granted but now the balcony was not usable due to the construction noise 7 days a week. A further request for a quite room was not accommodated even so I saw later that rooms in a quiet area were available.
The breakfast simply a joke! And had to be eaten at tables alive with ants!
I think changing the table cloth would help.
I summary the friendly smile of the Hotel manager was a nice gesture but does nothing to add to the comfort.
I did not let this hotel spoil my enjoyment of the magnificent splendour of the Khao Yai area.
