We were fairly disappointed that our room was on the other side of the road to the main resort area (and beach). The room was more than adequate and one of the cleanest we experienced in Thailand. Just outside our room was a courtyard with a pond, lovely during the day but at night we were kept awake by the very loud toads and bullfrogs. If you love Indian food then you'll love the Indian restaurant that backs onto the courtyard. The beach at Kai bae is average, I'd recommend getting a taxi (50THB per person) to White sands beach.
