Bad stay at Haad Yao Bay-View resort

We did not enjoy our stay at Haad Yao Bay View Resort. The staff were rude, there was construction operating during our entire stay (even on christmas day at 8am!), the lay out of the reort was cramped (ie we never wished to use the pool as it is located right to the restaurant) and we felt the resort was over priced for what it was. However, the most unsatisifying experience we encountered with the resort occured when we missed the compulsory chrsitmas dinner (terribly overpriced at 1500 Baht pp), as it was celebrated on christmas eve, not christmas day. We were never told and the terribly rude staff believed it was our fault that we missed the dinner and tried to blamn us, even though we were never informed of the time or date upon check-in.
