Deadly Stairs at Diamond Private Resort

Diamond Private Resort is in desperate need of repairs and an a makeover. It has full potential to be a lovely place to stay, however everything has been left to degrade over time. Originally, we had booked one of the rooms overlooking the pool. When shown the room we found that the toilet seat was not attached to the toilet and was just sitting upon it, plus loose tiles in the bathroom. I requested another room and the staff offered the chalets with ocean view for no extra cost. These rooms were a large improvement compared to the first room and probably reflected the price I paid for the original room. Bathroom water pressure was not so good. The stairs leading up to the resort are very dangerous and slippery when wet. They are steep and are rotting. Also, the stairs to the chalets need repair and the pool decking. Fixtures in the bathroom, eg. towell rail was falling off the wall. Gardens also needed weeding. We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and there was no housekeeping service on the 2nd day. I had to request more toilet paper. I would not stay at this hotel again. I recommend that staff do not sit around the reception area and talk all day and instead attend to the little things that need repairing in the rooms or the gardening which could improve the resort. As I said in my first sentence this resort does have potential---the view is fantastic from the rooms and pool deck.
