I spent 12 nights at this hotel" Sabai Lodge Soi 2 from 21 April, to 3 May 2008. It is located in Soi 2 and its location is very good with the soi being one way and frequented by many baht buses ( pattaya jeep taxis )as they travel through it to beach road. 75 metres from Sabai Lodge is a large shopping Centre called Big C. It has a large number of shops, restaurants and an open air area with entertainment and alcoholic beverages. Sabai Lodges is approximately 100 metres from Pattaya Beach and there are numerous entertainment ( adult ) venues, including a great Thai Pub ( non adult and in Soi 2 ) in a close radius. My room was in the rear section and it was great with no noise from the outside. There is construction taking place next to the rear of the hotel but this is not a problem, as it is undertaken during reasonable daylight hours. There are at least 4 swimming pools and bars in the complex and are all well stocked with good English speaking staff. The restaurant food at Sabai Lodge is very good ( we ate there outside buffet breakfast, which is also great ) The decor of the rooms is a little bit tired but everything was okay and in working order. Room service was great, I arrived back around 11.13pm and within 15 minutes I was eating a delicious, and very reasonably priced steak with all the trimmings. The only negative with the room was that is does not have a hot water tap in the basin and this made shaving fun. It comes with cable tv, electronic safe, self adjusting air conditioning, phone, well stocked reasonably priced fridge. The staff were great and I would definitely stay at this hotel again. ( I have travelled through Thailand/Philippines extensively ( over 20 trips )over the last 20 years and know good and bad hotels ) I rate this hotel as very good for the cost.
