Great stay in Phi Phi, PP Casita not bad

We chose the Casita for its location. This was perfect. Just a 5 minute walk into town, but peaceful and on the beach. The hotel itself is OK. We stayed in the most expensive type of room called a villa, it was not worth the money. The room itself was very nice and comfortable, but the bathroom was horrible and the view was of a very dirty, rubbish filled stream. We were unable to sit ourside on our balcony as there were too many bugs from the stream. From what we saw of the cheapest rooms they were very basic, so if I stayed again I would probably chose a mid-level room. It was great having a swimming pool, another reason we chose the hotel, but it was very busy and surrounded by building works which totally obscurred what should have been a great view to the beach. I probably wouldn't return to the Casita, as although I don't have any major complaints about it, I don't think it was worth the money.
