Highlight of this hotel for our 4 night mid June stay, were the location, the individuality of the hotel design, choice of 2 pools one a larger rectangle shaped good for aqua games, the other a u-shaped hugging deck suitable for dipping and lizard lazing in either sun or shade and the always important morning buffet breakfast set in a comfortable courtyard (L shaped) garden setting. An automatic upgrade to an elite room was a lifesaver for my sensitive ears as our prebooked grand premium room faced the street. In deciding which room to choose I scoured the web for a floor plan of the hotel as my unanswered email to the hotel left me to guess and on arrival my preferences were noted on checking hence the room upgrade -thanks very much. The elite room I was told was 4 years old but the growth of mould in the shower sealant was quite prominent, we also have mould in our Sydney home, but the humidity of Patong is quite high so nature thrives including the mould. This hotel is a very nice upper mid range hotel that will have it's repeat customers, service varies so much and that lingering of the luggage boys waiting for a tip always makes me tense, the receptionists and concierge do so much more without expecting tips, I almost insist on carrying the luggage myself, perhaps it's just my caucasian mindset. Stay and enjoy the facilities, lower your expectations a tad and sample everything Burasari offers.
