lovely hotel

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Manathai Surin Beach. We got upgraded to a pool suite (we had our own plunge pool) which was fantastic as they were doing works where our courtyard suite was that we booked. The hotel was really lovely but during our whole stay we had no water in our room, apparently a water pipe broke. So we had another very small standard room for showers and toilet and we slept in our pool suite. It was a real pain, but the only room they could move us to was nothing compared to our pool suite so we decided to stay there. I don't know if it was just because of all the work that was going on there but, if ever I went to reception for anything there was never anyone there, if we wanted a drink from the pool bar we had to go hunting for someone. But apart from all that it is in a great spot, you must eat at Catch Restaurant which was amazing and just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Would go back again, but would try and get last minute special next time as was a bit expensive.
