We did have some disappointments with this new X2 resort since there was no indication that this resort was not yet complete. The location and design are of course very nice with a lovely breeze, however, the resort is no where near ready for opening. There is no restaurant or bar, the pool was not clean (you can't catch a clear view of the bottom of the pool). We stayed in a room with a great view towards the beach and there was definitely a lovely breeze. The rooms were not well equipped for a resort that didn't offer any food or activities. There was no DVD player, the bathrooms didn't have enough towel hangers. During our stay, the electricity went off for about 15 minutes and when we tried to call the reception no one answered. No one was available to help us with the bags we had to go up or down to the stairs to the room. The cleaners didn't replace or wash our glasses, they folded our blankets instead of the usual making the bed in most resorts and didn't clear our tiny dustbins. Ants seemed to be a huge problem there. They were all over/in our things (eg: toothbrush, handbag) After having them spray our room with insecticide, they just returned that very evening. The staff were very nice and the resort has only been opened for 2 weeks. There is still a lot of room for improvement and we did talk to the management about this. On our way out the receptionist wasn't trained yet however, all in all, they have offered to send a X2 voucher later on so that was a nice gesture. The hotel is very nicely situated by the beach and it would definitely be a great place to relax once everything is ready and in place.
