Service is friendly although reception staff insist on filling in paperwork which impedes a speedy check in. Very nice people though. Hotel has excellent beach facilities - Heaps of lounges/umbrellas on the beach in good condition. These are put away late afternoon and a good number of nicely decorated tables placed out to drink and eat at. Drink prices are cheap and usually have specials. A BBQ is usually offered with fresh seafood specials. One of the best locations for drinks / lounging on the beach at Lamai Beach. Cooked breakfast is a bit bland - caters too much for European tastes. Good location, on the beach, very short walk to shops, bars, resturants and massage/beauty parlours. Lamai is less hectic than other parts but still plenty on offer. Worst aspect was that the poolside room we stayed in has a maintenance workshop underneath and maintenance staff operated power tools nearly all day making sleep during the day impossible. Staff did nothing to stop it, even after complaining. I'd stay again but not in a poolside room due to the risk of maintenance work going on underneath.
