Sukhothai Resort Hotel - DON'T BOTHER

This hotel would have been great 30 years ago but it is a place that time forgot. It is like a ghost town now. It is about a kilometer from the main road, and in between the old and new cities. You need to organise a tuk tuk from the hotel to go down to the nearest town not the main one as they won't take you as it's too far. A cab would cost heaps. Not good if you are expecting any outside calls as no one hardly speaks English or knows how to use a switchboard. Dinner I believe one evening we got ripped off as the bill came to one amount but was asked to pay another amount. Really, don't bother booking - you will be very disappointed. I need to mention that my boyfriend and I were the only 2 guests there!!! One last thing, there is this long bridge you need to walk along - loos like it's ready to fall down. Looks like the bridge over river Kwai!
